The Provincial Topographic Map Series is a gem for Alberta paddlers. These 1:250 000 scale colour maps include national and provincial parks in Alberta are available for free through the Open Government Program and can be printed inexpensively at your local print shop.
Local Clubs and Outfitters
The Borealis Paddling Club organizes social events, gatherings, and trips throughout the paddling season. They also have some fantastic maps available for local trips and their Facebook group is an active community great for seeking out local advice or finding a paddling friend or two!
